Fractional CTO / VP Engineering. Software engineer since 1996.

Eric Myers

I've spent three decades in software — starting as a full-stack engineer in 1996 (HTML, JavaScript, C#.NET, MSSQL) and moving into technical and product leadership roles at companies including Paylocity and Lextech Global Services.

What sets my approach apart is refusing to separate technical delivery from product ownership. On enterprise engagements for clients like GSK, PACCAR, Gilead, Hitachi, AstraZeneca, and Panda Restaurant Group, I've run client discovery, roadmap definition, and hands-on delivery as a single accountable function — because the fastest way to build the wrong thing well is to hand strategy to one team and execution to another.

At Paylocity, I owned technical and people leadership for a $100M time-and-attendance business unit serving 6,500+ clients, including incident command for a 30,500-client production portfolio held to a five-nines uptime target and SAS70/SSAE16 audit compliance.

I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Michigan University.

Outside of work: I am an automotive performance mechanic, HPDE instructor, former downhill mountain bike competitor, an avid snowboarder and wake surfer. So far, I haven't found anything with wheels I don't love.
